Our Future Plans
The retreat center facilities will encompass less than 40 acres. Plans for the developed area include housing and meeting facilities for people in large group or multiple small group settings, dining facilities, nature trails, a campground, swimming pool, and other recreational opportunities. The AAARC is to be designed, built and equipped to serve a broad spectrum of clientele from youth groups to seniors to individuals. All of the facilities will meet or exceed federal ADA and state accessibility standards.
In addition to providing facilities for groups or individuals, the AAARC plans to conduct its own programs and pursue funding for activities, such as summer camps for children with life threatening illnesses and weekend getaways for disadvantaged or inner city youth. Special events such as weddings, memorials, or anniversary parties may also be conducted at the facilities as well as making the retreat center available to any individual, organization or business who have a policy of non-discrimination.
